From The Director of Bands
Welcome to the Home of the Luella High School Band! As a member of this band program, you are associated with one of Georgia’s most thrilling, exhilarating, and outstanding high school bands. You inherit a rich tradition of brilliant marching pageantry and outstanding musical performances. You will perform before a variety of live audiences and many will see you through various media outlets and hear you over the internet.
As a member of the Luella High School Band, what you do as an individual is vitally important. There are no “LEAD” players or “FIRST CHAIR” players in the band. Absolute uniformity, precision, technical excellence, and superior work ethic is demanded of every band member. An enormous amount of planning and preparation goes into every one of our showcases. You will be expected to do your part.
This website will help you to become acquainted with “The Luella Way” of doing things. Study it carefully. Check it regularly. Bookmark it permanently as a reference. Most questions can be answered by checking this website. Lastly, our Student Leadership Team, Band Boosters, Band Staff, Auxiliary Director, and myself stand ready to help assist and guide you.
Our goal is clear. We are here, together, to help you become one of the finest scholar musicians in one of finest band programs in the land.
